Competition Campus Wetenschap en Techniek Plantijn Hogeschool submitted
META architectuurbureau submits, in collaboration with Storimans Wijffels architecten and Technum, its vision presentation for the new building of the Campus Wetenschap en Techniel of the Plantijn Hogeschool Antwerp.
The site for the new university college is situated in the urban master plan ‘Spoor Noord’. The site is at the Ellermanstraat and is flanked on both sides by high-rise buildings. At the back it is bordered by the park ramp that forms the connection between Spoor Noord and het Eilandje. The vision of META is based on a compact, readable and durable building organised around a central area. The heart of the building consists of this patio coupled to a cafeteria from which the building can be clearly viewed.
