Competition Sociale woningen Cadix submitted

META architectuurbureau enters – in collaboration with MikeViktorViktor architects – the competition design with Woonhaven cvba for the building of 52 counsel rental and buying houses and a day-care centre in the Cadix neighbourhood in Antwerp. The homes are divided over 2 plots of the same building bloc.

The typological connection of the buildings with the existing historical buildings makes sure the design blends in with the history and the character of the place. A number of themes deducted from the context are used the give both buildings the same basis.

Both corner buildings are each divided into two buildings on a plinth. The openings in the building bloc lead to qualities that are advantageous for both the homes and the collective inner space.
